corrugated fin walls which are used as cooling elements of transformer tanks
are produced by CNC controlledfin forming machine.

Corrugated fin wall which is folded in machine goes to PLC controlled synergic
MIG/MAG welding robot. The touching line of fin sheets are welded by synergic
MIG/MAG welding robot continuously and without leakage.


HOW TO PRODUCE CORRUGATED FIN WALLS?

A type of transformer cooling radiator which is shaped by fin forming machine from DKP (CCR) 6112 A1 quality, cold rolled and monolithic steel sheet, increases transformer tank cooling surface area and is called as corrugated fin walls.

  1. After preliminary work of customer technical documents, all requested parameters is input to system according to working princple of our full automatic fin forming machine.
  2. By using DKP (CCR) 6112 A1 quality cold rolled steel sheet, corrugated fin walls are produced by CNC controlledfin forming machine.
  3. Corrugated fin wall which is folded in machine goes to PLC controlled synergic MIG/MAG welding robot. The touching line of fin sheets are welded by synergic MIG/MAG welding robot that is integrated to welding robot continuously and without leakage. 
  4. Strengthening transmission sticks and steel sheet belt is welded to corrugated fin walls.
  5. In compliance with tank assembling detail drawing, starting and ending foldings are done and so corrugated fin walls become ready to use.  
  6. Corrugated fin walls are transferred to quality control department.

Notes:

  • If the fin height is greater than 200mm, embossments which are pressed to mid line of fin wall, increases the the endurance of ribs so that fin wall can be resisted to 10.000times expanding
  • Group production can be done at our facility.
  • Mini embossments which are placed on bottom plate between two fins also increases endurance of fin Wall.
  • Our capacity is 150 tons/month.

A brief overview of products and services manufactured at Akabe Trafo's factory:

Corrugated Wall Production

Steel thickness is 1.2 or 1.5mm, width is 300~1600mm, fin height is 50~400mm and distance between fins is greater than 43 mm.

Plasma Cutting & Bending

Thanks to CNC based fully automatic plasma cutting machine and break press machines, tank semi production cutting and bending operations are done in our structure.

Transformer Tank Production

Corrugated fin wall type distribution transformer tanks up to 5 MVA and radiator type power transformer tanks up to 25 MVA.

Transformer Tank Leakage Test

Transformer tank leakage test which affects tank life is performed with our design test platform. We aplply penetrant chemical to and keep tanks under 0.1~0.4 bar pressure then observe for leakages.

Cover & Conservator Production

Bushing studs, lifting lugs, thermometer pocket, oil filling cap, active part lifting part and conservator connection pipes are welded to cover the plate. 

Surface Preparations & Painting

If requested, SA 2.5 shoot blasting is appliedto tanks. Depending on customer request, spray or flow painting and kiln-drying process increases the tank resistance time.
